Job Title: General Manager

The General Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the overall success of our retail store. As a General Manager, you will be the driving force behind achieving sales goals, managing store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team to achieve sales goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective store operations strategies to maximize profitability and efficiency.
  • Manage and control all controllable expenses, optimize revenue streams, and lead the management team to achieve store and profit goals.
  • Ensure customer and associate satisfaction, brand standards, and profitability are met.
  • Manage financial plans for the store, review and interpret financial reports, and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
  • Analyze income statements and utilize reports to ensure store profitability.
  • Manage inventory to maximize sales, control costs, and reduce waste.
  • Manage cash management procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure conditions across the store meet or exceed standards for safety, service, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead change initiatives, champion programs, and educate associates on the reason and need for change.
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers, respond to customer complaints or inquiries, and solicit customer feedback.
  • Staff the store appropriately to cover customer and business demands, identify hiring needs, and share responsibilities for interviewing candidates.
  • Allocate resources, prioritize, and delegate work, and effectively manage time through efficient scheduling and usage of labor hours.
  • Create and sustain an inclusive store atmosphere, value store associates, and support the development of associates and store management team.
  • Build relationships with community partners to connect the store with its community.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Experience leading, selecting, training, performance management of staff, sales building, labor allocation & scheduling, managing expenses.
  • Experience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in execution.
  • Experienced in all areas of store operations, including foodservice.
  • Flexible availability which may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred.
  • Serve Safe Certification.
