This role is pivotal in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing the entire store operations, ensuring that all operational budgets are met, and implementing company policies, procedures, and programs effectively.

The position entails shared responsibility for all administrative functions within the store, which includes the following key duties.

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
Foster a positive Company Culture throughout the store.

Assist in the training and development of team members.

Oversee all staff involved in store operations.

Collaborate with various management teams, including Buying, Accounting, and Human Resources.

Manage budget and labor forecasts, making daily adjustments as needed.

Comply with all Sanitation standards and guidelines established by local and corporate authorities.

Ensure that loss prevention policies and procedures are strictly followed at all times.

Effectively manage inventory to achieve acceptable shrinkage levels.

Oversee the merchandising and upkeep of all displays, including specialty department floor setups.

Ensure the implementation of all safety programs to maintain a secure work environment.

Support and promote an Exceptional Customer Service initiative.

Exhibit Servant Leadership principles daily.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance in accordance with the work schedule, providing adequate notice for any absences.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential job duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of three to five years of experience is preferred, with at least two years in a significant leadership role.

Prior experience in managing a department is advantageous.


Comprehensive knowledge of the retail food industry, particularly in perishable department operations, is essential. Candidates must possess strong merchandising skills and the ability to make timely and effective decisions.

Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel.

Strong organizational skills, with a thorough understanding of operational systems and bookkeeping practices.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of managing a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.

In-depth understanding of all safety regulations and company safety policies.


Must have the capability to apply on-the-job safety training to identify and respond to potential safety hazards in the store.

Additionally, proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures are required:
hand jack, bailer, forklift, cutter, proper lifting techniques, scanning techniques, hand truck, trash compactor.

Working conditions primarily involve a temperature-controlled environment.

The ability to work outdoors, check store property, and enter walk-in coolers or freezers for brief periods is necessary.

This position may involve exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels (i.e., freezers, coolers, and warehouse).

Employees may encounter chemical cleaning agents, distracting noises, or other irritants, and work in areas with wet and slippery floors.


WORK SCHEDULE:
The Retail Operations Supervisor position is a salaried role. The hours for this position are determined by the operational needs of the business.
