Job Title: Rehabilitation Specialist

Vocational Guidance Services is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

Job Summary:

The Rehabilitation Specialist will provide services to adults in group employment programming, developing activities to keep individuals active and engaged every day. You will work with individuals to teach work skills and assist with work flow to provide continuous work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide services to adults in group employment programming, including developing activities to keep individuals active and engaged.
  • Work with individuals to teach work skills and assist with work flow to provide continuous work opportunities.
  • Assist individuals in engaging in programming designed to increase daily living skills and personal and social adjustment.
  • Maintain a caseload of up to 12 individuals, including case notes, ISP revision dates, documentation, and recommendations for transition to next opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
  • GED or high school diploma is required.
  • Must meet Medicaid background check requirements.
  • Must pass post-offer new hire drug test.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
