Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to PLCs, motor control centers, and electrical devices.
- Perform electrical field work in a continuous port maritime environment.
- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Conduct periodic inspections and operate heavy equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
- Two to three years of manufacturing experience.
- Four years of electrical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and power tools for repairing and replacing wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer knowledge.
- Attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Adherence to compliance, rules, and safety regulations.
- Passionate and motivated individual with a drive for excellence.
- Wood products background a plus.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and withstand temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
- Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
- Adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day.
- Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
- Ability to pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
