Property Management Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Ron Sawyer Team @ RE/MAX Prime. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our properties throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and participate in general maintenance and repairs of properties, including heating and air conditioning units, plumbing, electrical repairs, mechanical repairs, appliance repairs, painting, carpeting, carpentry work, and window/screen repairs.
- Organize and prioritize work from work orders, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Order supplies and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Ensure the proper use of potentially dangerous products and chemicals.
- Oversee work done by outside contractors through periodic inspections of all work completed on the property.
- Participate in the selection of outside contractors, schedule contractors, issue purchase orders, and process invoices.
- Inspect smoke detectors, perform lock changes, and conduct Move in/out inspections of properties.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair, with a focus on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of maintenance issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with tenants and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi (or similar) software.
