Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Selectek. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical controls and software programs for control panels used on equipment provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical controls and software programs for control panels used on equipment provided by the company.
  • Monitor the progress of the controls development of assigned projects.
  • Maintain the established design standards of the department.
  • Support the sales efforts of the Company by providing technical support and consultation during the development of proposals or quotations.
  • Support the Field Service Engineers by providing technical support.
  • Maintain the Company's leadership in the industry in terms of product performance, service, and value.
  • Support in-house mechanical assembly of components and pieces of equipment.
  • Work closely with warehouse operations to identify and stage appropriate components required for equipment or sub-assemblies using established methods.
  • Communicate the need for engineering changes using Engineering Change Requests.
Requirements:
  • Minimum EE, EET, or computer science degree in a related field, such as applied mathematics, or equivalent controls programming experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in controls programming with Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Minimum 1 year of systems design experience with Allen Bradley controls panels (panel design and bills of materials).
  • Industrial controls knowledge, including sensors, AC and/or DC drives, and servo controllers.
  • Siemens S7-300 and/or S7-1500 PLC and Siemens Comfort Panel HMI programming experience (a plus).
