Job Title: Swim Lesson Instructor

Join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about teaching the next generation the importance of safety around water and helping them improve their swimming abilities.

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Swim Lesson Instructor to teach swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines. As a Swim Lesson Instructor, you will be responsible for preparing lesson plans, supporting members and program participants in achieving their goals, and demonstrating swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach swimming lessons to children and adults of all skill levels
  • Prepare and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of participants
  • Support members and program participants in achieving their goals
  • Demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards
  • Ability to lift equipment and lift a small to average size child
Requirements:
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications
  • At least 16 years of age
