Job Title: Senior Accountant

Hitachi Industrial Equipment & Solutions America, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing adjusting entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will also have cost accounting responsibilities for setting standards and variance analysis. This position will report to the Director of Finance & Accounting at HIESA and will work remotely with occasional travel to the office.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with financial transaction recording standards.
  • Control and reconciliation of accounts and records.
  • Accounting reports and schedules for internal and external audiences.
  • Cost accounting, including standard setting, allocation of direct and indirect costs, and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support external and internal audit activities.
  • Assist with special projects as necessary.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to respond to a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
