Job Summary

Regal Marine Industries Inc. is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. As an Electrical Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of electrical wiring and systems on our boats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test electrical wiring and systems, including power-supply circuits, radio, radar, sonar, lighting, and other electronic equipment.
  • Inspect and diagnose malfunctions in electrical or electronic systems using visual inspections and testing instruments.
  • Test electrical characteristics such as voltage, resistance, and other circuit metrics using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other test equipment.
  • Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures and equipment using electric drills and routers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems with electronic equipment, such as sound, navigation, communication, and security equipment.
  • Collaborate with leadership and engineering to improve product design and performance, ensuring all electrical installations meet regulatory and safety standards.
  • Manage and complete job duties according to the production schedule, ensuring timely and efficient workflow.
  • Follow the company's safety and quality guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite to avoid hazards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to understand the layout of electrical systems within the boats.
Requirements
  • Must have at least two years of experience in electrical work, specifically in the marine, RV, or similar industry.
  • Must have a working knowledge of 12v systems and experience working with 120v and 240v systems.
  • Must be able to interpret manufacturing schedules and have strong organizational skills to manage and complete tasks according to the production schedule.
  • Must have conversational English skills and be able to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and adhere to safety precautions.
  • Experience working with Yamaha and Volvo systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments.
Work Environment

The Marine Electrician will work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

Physical Demands

The Marine Electrician will be required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee will frequently be required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
