Job Description

As a Sonic Driller with Specialty Drilling Holding Co, you will perform routine to difficult sonic drilling, sampling, and well installation tasks. You will maintain field equipment and supervise driller's assistants in procedures. This role requires coordination with various staff professionals or client field representatives, including verifications of work performed and working hours.

This position involves working on jobs in Western Washington, on the I-5 corridor from Olympia to Marysville. You will start and end the day in our Puyallup, WA location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sonic and rotary drilling, sampling, and well installation operations, recording pertinent information relative to field activities and work performed.
  • Direct the work of subordinates related to field activities.
  • Must possess a Class "A" CDL.
  • Collect drilling data.
  • Follow written corporate safety policy and enforce compliance by subordinates.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
  • Prepare daily field reports and communicate equipment and personnel needs to supervisor on a daily basis.
  • Interact with client's field representatives to report work completed and to resolve problems in the field.
  • Direct and assist drill crew with site mobilization, materials handling, and decontamination of equipment.
  • Perform, with assistance, routine to very difficult drilling, sampling activities.
Requirements:
  • Five years of experience in the Drilling Field.
  • Three years of Lead Sonic Driller experience.
  • Class "A" CDL.
