Responsibilities- Collaborate with the transport team to provide exceptional care during patient transport
- Utilize advanced transport and critical care equipment in a competent manner
- Assess patient and environmental situation to develop plan of nursing care based on patient status and diagnosis
- Monitor patient response and adjust care accordingly, communicating necessary information through medical control
- Assist with daily inventory of equipment on ambulance, aircraft, in storerooms, and equipment bags
- Maintain thorough patient care documentation according to department and ministry policy
- Achieve and maintain proficient knowledge of transport team Patient Care Guidelines (PCGs)
- Act as a preceptor and/or participate in orientation of new employees and students as assigned
- Participate/attend in-house education, outreach education, department process improvement projects
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Three years' registered nurse experience in NICU, PICU, or Emergency care
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
This role will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of experienced professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and effectively, and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.
