Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team at St. Luke's University Health Network.

Job Summary

The Healthcare Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to patients under the supervision of, and/or in collaboration with, the attending physician. This includes medical evaluation, treatment, counseling, and referrals. The specialist will also participate in patient satisfaction, quality, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with various mental health conditions.
  • Participate in onboarding/training process including training at multiple locations with a variety of providers.
  • Contribute to call schedules from 5 PM to 8 AM for outpatient practices roughly about 1 time per month.
  • Rotate call on inpatient behavioral health unit on a rotating basis, about 1 and 6 weekends.
  • Rotate holiday coverage at behavioral health inpatient units - about one holiday per year.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Competent in the assessment, treatment, counseling, and education of the patient, and their families, being provided medical services.
  • Competency in evaluating patients and performing physical examinations including obtaining, studying, and updating medical histories.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement appropriate patient management and treatment plans, based on assessment of needs.
  • Coordinate and communicate patient care effectively with other healthcare professionals and institutions to meet patient's healthcare needs.
  • Provide high-quality health care, based on best practice and/or evidenced-based medicine.
Requirements
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant with current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
  • Physician Assistants must also have a current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Salary Information

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
