Scientific Operations Specialist

Job OverviewThis entry-level position involves following detailed instructions and established procedures with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include lab organization, general lab and equipment maintenance, consumables inventory, stocking, and miscellaneous initiatives to help the lab run efficiently. You will also assist with management of both non-infectious and potentially infectious materials.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with warehouse inventory of supplies and consumables.
- Conduct routine inspections of labs to identify housekeeping, consumables, and safety requirements.
- Organize consumables in lab areas and stockrooms.
- Assist with freezer defrosting, inventory, and organization.
- Responsible for timely and thorough stocking of lab supplies and consumables.
- Maintain available and unexpired disinfecting reagents in labs.
- Participate in lab and lab equipment cleaning activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrated familiarity with common laboratory and scientific instrumentation terminology.
- Basic computer skills, including Internet navigation, email usage, and word processing.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
