Creative Arts Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Arts Therapist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Creative Arts Therapist, you will be responsible for providing creative arts therapy services to patients and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and prioritize individual and group creative arts therapy interventions for assigned patients, utilizing knowledge and expertise to determine the scope and depth of services.
- Plan, organize, and implement creative arts therapy programs for designated clinical areas, ensuring that programs are varied and engaging to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group interventions, communicating care plans to physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families as appropriate.
- Comply with all policies and procedures for the department, hospital, and external credentialing agencies, including safety and infection control protocols.
- Provide consultation, education, and support to families on the impact of patient condition, healthcare experiences, and environmental factors on patient adaptation and treatment.
- Build and maintain positive collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary team members, integrating goals and plans to promote optimal patient care, safety, patient-centeredness, and satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance job performance and contribute to the accomplishment of departmental and creative arts therapy goals.
- Masters degree in Art Therapy.
- Certified by an appropriate professional organization.
- LCAT eligible or permit upon hire with licensure granted within two years.
- One year of Creative Arts Therapy experience in a healthcare setting.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,243.96 - $74,200.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
