Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Renown Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and reading and reporting systems.
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, in accordance with industry standards and Renown Health requirements.
  • Review images for identification, technique, and completeness, and ensure that they meet the governing body's standards for each modality.
  • Collaborate with physicians, peers, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and support the vision and mission of Renown Health.
  • Participate in educational sessions, contribute technical and professional knowledge to students, allied health professionals, and physicians, and provide training to new department staff members and sonography students.
Requirements
  • Active registry with either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS, RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RVT, RDCS) in the specialty of Adult or Pediatric echocardiography and/or Vascular Technology.
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience in the respective departmental required.
  • CPR certification upon hire, and AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Working Conditions

The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to patients served ranging in age from infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric, and meet standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age-specific competency standards.

The incumbent may be asked to perform other job duties related to Renown Medical Center as needed.
