Your Role in Our Team
  • The Capital Project Engineer is tasked with the safe and efficient management of capital construction initiatives and programs.
  • Accountable for ensuring that engineering services are delivered in a quality, timely, and cost-effective manner, aligning with the plant's safety and operational objectives.
  • Utilize sound engineering principles and expertise to design major facility installations and assess modifications to existing structures.
  • Enhance plant performance by providing specialized technical support and guidance to optimize asset utilization.
Your Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and execute projects and programs effectively to meet objectives set by the Mechanical and Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in engineering activities.
  • Offer direct technical assistance and guidance to plant personnel to improve business performance through optimal asset use.
  • Identify and support the implementation of innovative technologies and systems to maintain a competitive edge in asset utilization.
  • Oversee the development, administration, and management of contracts in accordance with ExxonMobil guidelines and best practices.
  • Enhance technical expertise through formal training and benchmarking with peers in the industry.
  • Act as a business owner, taking full responsibility for the effectiveness of controls within your area of responsibility.
About You

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience in lube plant operations, maintenance, or project management is preferred
  • Basic understanding of lube oil blending plant operations (blending, packaging, warehousing, and shipping)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities
  • Proven capability to foster consensus and support team initiatives
  • Analytical and problem-solving competencies
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of labor relations or supervisory roles
