About the Position

Florida International University is seeking highly qualified adjunct lecturers to teach Biostatistics courses as part of our College of Public Health and Social Work.

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced instructors to teach PHC Biostatistics I, PHC Biostatistics 2, and other Biostatistics core and elective courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Biostatistics and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Biostatistics courses to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Grade student assignments and exams
  • Provide feedback to students on their performance
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements
  • PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or equivalent
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or equivalent for secondary instructor or course assistant positions
  • Experience teaching Biostatistics courses at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
