Job Title: AWS & Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

CBTS is seeking an experienced AWS & Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure services, including server OS, patch deployment, backup and restoration, directory service capabilities, and certificate management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies to support standard-based directory services, single sign-on solutions, server processing and storage consolidation, standard backup and restoration services, comprehensive security and patch protection capabilities, and a robust services infrastructure.
  • Maintain and advance the server environment through effective engineering and implementation of solutions, which support the user and application needs of the organization.
  • Install and maintain cloud-based applications, systems, or associated infrastructures.
  • Analyze and define business requirements to determine specifications and standards; propose and develop solutions.
  • Deploy and oversee implementation and integration of web-based applications, ensuring that appropriate information security standards are met.
  • Architect, deploy, and administer computing services in various Cloud Infrastructure providers.
  • Troubleshoot Converged Infrastructure Systems to resolve compute, storage, network and other infrastructure problems.
  • Engineer and perform Capacity Management for Infrastructure Solutions & Services Monitor system uptime and performance, troubleshooting and resolving errors.
  • Stay informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their value to the organization's operations.

Requirements:

  • Requires experience with one or more cloud computing platforms.
  • Expert level experience with server-level operating systems (Windows & Linux), facilitating high-level engineering, architectural design and support.
  • Experience with Desktop Virtualization.
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory Services and Identity Management Solutions.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management (Ansible, Puppet).
  • Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and practices.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required).
  • Understanding of code and scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, PowerShell and/or Ruby).
  • Expertise in automated build and deploy processes and tools.
  • Experience monitoring and designing solutions for the cloud.
  • Expert level knowledge of distributed version control systems like GIT.
  • Experience working on Agile.
