Field Representative for Insurance Loss Control

At Alexander & Schmidt, the role of a Field Representative for Insurance Loss Control involves conducting on-site evaluations of properties, general liability, and incidental vehicle inspections. The representative is responsible for compiling detailed reports that serve the underwriting needs of insurance firms. These reports are essential for accurately assessing commercial or residential properties for new insurance policies or the renewal of existing ones.
Essential Qualifications- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role with a commercial insurance provider or as an independent contractor specializing in commercial insurance loss control.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial property and casualty insurance lines, including property, general liability, auto, and workers' compensation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with proficient organizational and computer skills.
- Time Management: Exceptional ability to manage time effectively.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within a designated area, typically within a 60-mile radius.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Reporting: Capability to upload completed assessments, images, and diagrams via a dedicated online platform or to finalize reports using web-based systems.
Providing high-quality and precise loss control assessments is crucial for guiding underwriters in selecting profitable business opportunities and aiding clients in mitigating losses through the demonstrated effectiveness of the loss control services offered.
