Staff Nurse

As a key member of the healthcare team, this Staff Nurse - Lvl III position plays a vital role in providing professional nursing care to patients. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality care, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This leadership role requires a strong commitment to Kaiser Permanente's Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to deliver high-quality care.
- Lead and direct the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately and demonstrating accountability.
- Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
- Participate in problem identification and resolution, mentoring, orienting, and coaching others in unit-specific operations and patient care activities.
- Develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care, reflecting assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes.
- Ensure patient safety, utilizing the five rights, and maintain a clean, orderly, and functional work environment.
- Provide an optimal patient care experience by actively listening to patient needs and taking responsibility for meeting those identified needs.
- Current CA RN license.
- BLS certification.
- One (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in an acute hospital OR circulating on a variety of surgical procedures in multiple specialties, or completion of a KP or approved equivalent OR course within prior 12 months.
- The ability to take call within a 30-minute response time.
- BSN preferred.
- Ability to scrub preferred.
