  • Utilize electronic tracking systems to monitor shipments and confirm timely deliveries throughout the operational week.
  • Adhere to established checklists with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communicate directly with patients regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, and recovery strategies.
  • Disseminate information to patients about operational changes, including holiday schedules, through approved package inserts.
  • Review daily shipping manifests to verify delivery addresses and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the Pharmacy team to manage start dates, demographic data, and alternative shipping addresses.
  • Reconcile shipping supply packing slips with invoices, forwarding them to management with necessary annotations.
  • Ensure accuracy in billing by reconciling carrier invoices with shipping manifests.
  • Provide weekly shipping summaries and usage reports to supervisory staff.
  • Reset the shipping area at the end of each day to prepare for the following business day.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the packing area and pharmacy by disinfecting surfaces and managing waste.
  • Organize and maintain order in the storage room and offsite storage unit.
  • Secure the pharmacy, storage areas, and packing room at the end of each business day.
  • Coordinate the disposal of waste materials and manage collection schedules with contractors.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to interpret individuals' needs.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Compassionate approach, particularly towards patients with serious health conditions.
  • Experience in shipping and dispatching operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory management practices.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexible and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills.
