Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and treatment within the scope of your licensure and certification.
  • Evaluate patient condition and establish treatment goals in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including delegating responsibilities to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians as needed.
  • Re-evaluate patient progress and revise treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in planning for patient discharge and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to integrate physical therapy treatment with all aspects of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
  • Licensure with the State of Michigan
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to lift, position, and transport patients
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, grasp, reach, and occasionally climb
