The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a highly skilled Budget Analyst to join its team. Key Responsibilities- Manage program grants, contracts, revenue, and expenditures, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Analyze program costs and variances to budget and forecast, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Review and submit adjusting journal entries as needed, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts for revenue and operating expenses, working closely with Project Directors.
- Manage relationships and reporting with government agencies and other funders, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Collaborate with the Development department to prepare and review budgets for submission in response to requests for proposals.
- Review and approve vendor invoices, staff allocations, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with budgets and grants/contracts, preferably in nonprofit and/or government accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with staff, funders, and other stakeholders.
The Center for Justice Innovation offers a competitive salary range of $62,000 - $84,500, commensurate with experience. We also provide an excellent benefits package, including comprehensive healthcare, free basic dental coverage, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
We prioritize mental health care for our staff and offer services like Talkspace and Ginger through our healthcare plans. We also offer a 403(b) retirement plan with a two-to-one employer contribution up to 5%.
