About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager Engineer to join our team at Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Operation in Muskogee, OK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead capital projects from conceptualization to operational performance
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to execute projects, including design, construction, commissioning, and documentation
  • Develop bid specifications, project schedules, and budget estimates for engineering, design, and construction
  • Design safety and reliability into all projects
  • Expand and refine in-house technical capabilities
  • Effectively execute Project Work Processes and Mill Improvement Processes
  • Assist in developing and executing mill and area capital plans
  • Manage capital projects to yield target IRR or better
  • Manage capital, working capital, fixed asset ledger, cost reduction projects to yield target ROCC
  • Exercise economic thinking when evaluating alternatives, equipment, vendors, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and business practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Experience developing and presenting information in one-on-one and group settings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience managing large projects
  • Experience working within a pulp and paper manufacturing operation
  • Experience with college recruiting and mentoring entry-level talent
