Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the healthcare team in providing safe and effective patient care.
  • Assist with fundamental nursing tasks to help meet patients' daily living activities.
  • Facilitate patient mobility, including turning, positioning, transferring, and ambulation, while adhering to proper techniques and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a secure and hygienic patient environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations as trained, under the guidance of nursing staff.
  • Measure and record vital signs, utilizing appropriate equipment as directed.
  • Provide basic skin care to maintain skin integrity and prevent breakdown.
  • Address patient requests promptly and communicate their needs to nursing staff.
  • Assist in the safe transfer of patients using wheelchairs, beds, or stretchers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of medical equipment to ensure safety.
  • Maintain clear communication with department personnel and follow directions to uphold a safe environment.
  • Respect and uphold patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure essential equipment and supplies are functional and accessible for safe patient care.
  • Perform specific maintenance tasks as required by the department.
  • Act as an advocate for patients to ensure quality care.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and universal precautions.

Work Schedule:
This position requires two 12-hour shifts per pay period, with a commitment to working every third weekend and holiday.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Nursing Assistant certification is preferred upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
