We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Hematologist to join our team at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care within the respective clinical area, adhering to the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules, and regulations, as well as Children's policies and procedures.
- Participate in and incorporate Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
- Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
- Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making.
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure timely communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
- Actively respond to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
- Participate in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center is a leading pediatric hematology/oncology program in the country, with a rich and collaborative environment for basic, clinical, and translational research. Our center provides a diverse faculty and a wide range of clinical trials, with a strong focus on pediatric sickle cell disease and hemoglobinopathies.
Requirements- Graduate of an accredited, four-year medical school.
- Graduate of an accredited, post-graduate residency program in Pediatrics.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
- BLS or PALS certification required.
- Current DEA registration.
