Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner at a two-aisle check stand, multi-station self-checkout lane, or customer service desk.
  • Engage with customers, provide friendly and cooperative service, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Operate check stand equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and scales, and maintain knowledge of current product location and pricing.
  • Process monetary transactions, including cash, checks, gift certificates, and food stamps, and adhere to all Cash Handling and Lane Accountability policies and procedures.
  • Stock, price, and rotate merchandise, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately process transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and navigate potentially high-stress situations.
