Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic DPI-licensed early childhood educator to join our team at The Well Preschool. This role is vital in creating a nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning atmosphere for young children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing the Well curriculum to foster children's growth
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive educational environment
  • Overseeing daily classroom activities and ensuring a positive experience for all learners
  • Monitoring and evaluating children's developmental progress
  • Building strong relationships with families and caregivers
  • Conducting biannual parent-teacher meetings
  • Setting age-appropriate expectations and employing positive reinforcement strategies
  • Engaging in physical activities such as lifting children and equipment
  • Adapting to program changes and demonstrating flexibility
  • Performing additional duties as necessary
  • Embracing a fun and joyful approach to teaching

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education
  • DPI license in early childhood regular education
  • Registry of Wisconsin certification or willingness to obtain lead teacher certification (materials provided)
  • Completion of 10 hours of infant and toddler care training within six months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in child care
  • CPR/First Aid certification, SBS training, and training in child abuse and neglect
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
