As a Sales and Use Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating current sales and use tax calculation and filing processes, identifying inaccuracies and inefficiencies, and suggesting and implementing process improvements with a focus on future automation. You will also manage and maintain the Vertex tax software, ensuring it is up-to-date and operating efficiently. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to improve tax filing accuracy and compliance. If you have a proven experience with sales and use tax processes, ideally within the manufacturing industry, and a strong experience with Vertex or similar tax automation software, we encourage you to apply.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Review and evaluate current sales and use tax calculation and filing processes
* Identify inaccuracies and inefficiencies in the existing tax filing methods
* Suggest and implement process improvements, with a focus on future automation
* Manage and maintain the Vertex tax software, ensuring it is up-to-date and operating efficiently
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve tax filing accuracy and compliance
* Proactively engage in process optimization to streamline future tax operations

**Qualifications:**

* Proven experience with sales and use tax processes, ideally within the manufacturing industry
* Ability to independently identify and address issues in tax filing and calculation processes
* Strong experience with Vertex or similar tax automation software
* Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
