Director of Nursing Opportunity
The Laurels of Bon Air is seeking a skilled Nursing Department Head to oversee the nursing department and provide high-quality care to residents.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Evaluate Nursing Care: Conduct regular resident rounds to assess the quality and appropriateness of nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Charting and Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely charting and documentation of care, medications, and treatments.
- Nursing Staff Management: Recommend staffing levels and manage nursing personnel to meet the needs of residents.
- Budget Management: Participate in budget planning and management of nursing supplies, equipment, and staffing budgets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations and ensure compliance.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
Qualifications:
- RN License: Current RN license in the state.
- Nursing Experience: Director of Nursing or similar experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing.
- Certifications: Maintains current CPR certification and may have additional certifications in nursing specialties.
