KLA is seeking a highly skilled Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing opto-mechanical and mechanical parts, modules, and subsystems for our next-generation wafer inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop opto-mechanical and mechanical parts, modules, and subsystems to support the design of wafer inspection tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including optics, systems, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration and testing of subsystems and systems.
  • Develop supporting documentation, such as assembly and test procedures, and address and resolve product issues throughout the development phases.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 3-6 years of experience in opto-mechanical design and development.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including design, materials, and thermal dynamics.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and machine shop operations.
  • Basic understanding of optics principles, including reflection, refraction, and polarization.
