About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at LEGOLAND Parks. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure facilities, equipment, and other assets to prevent loss and/or damage.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment, access points, and exit points to prevent loss of assets and unauthorized access to property.
  • Inspect buildings and equipment in line with Department and Park policies and procedures.
  • Prevent loss and damage by responding to emergencies, reporting irregularities, enforcing Park policies and procedures, and restricting access to trespassers.
  • Assist in investigations, complete thorough written reports, and interview witnesses.
  • Dispatch and respond to radio calls for Security needs and emergencies.
  • Assist with monthly inspections of Park fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
  • Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement and emergency response personnel.
  • Provide excellent guest service to Park guests and fellow employees.
Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the park site and interact with guests and employees.
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders to gain access to upper levels of buildings.
  • Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and use a computer.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials and drive.
  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
Work Environment

This role involves working in various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. You may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.

Other Job Requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnight, and weekends to support park operations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Attendance is a mandatory function of this job.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • At least one year of security and/or law enforcement experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), reasoning ability, and interpersonal skills.
  • A demonstrated history of supporting colleagues and being a team player.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
Education

A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent is required. Some college coursework is preferred.
