Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Tumwater, WA. As a school-based SLP, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them achieve their educational goals and improve their communication abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each student.
  • Provide direct therapy in individual and group settings to address speech and language needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students in different environments.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Washington state SLP license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous school-based experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
