We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Place purchase orders and plan material requirements to support inventory, production, and customer requirements while maintaining cost objectives.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to past due orders, rescheduling requests, and expediting deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of parts, including lead time, pricing, EOQ, and safety stock.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement materials management procedures and improve supplier relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or material/production planning and scheduling.
- Preferred experience using ERP systems, such as SAP.
