Job Title: Environmental Scientist

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team in Honolulu, HI. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a key role in managing projects, conducting field inspections, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects of varying size and complexity
  • Conduct field inspections and oversight at various sites to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Organize and review data to identify trends and patterns
  • Prepare and conduct technical reviews of reports
  • Coordinate and plan field investigations of contaminated sites
  • Plan and perform multi-media sampling, including soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of practical scientific, environmental engineering, or environmental consulting experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of environmental consulting experience, including writing and reviewing submittals to regulatory agencies
  • Familiarity with the Hawaii Department of Health HEER Office program, including TGM, SAPs, EHMPs, C-EHMPs, iHEER, site inspections for compliance, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting site investigations and practical field experience performing multi-media sampling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:

This position involves both office and field environments. You must be able to drive on a regular basis and travel to various sites across Oahu and outer islands. You will also be required to conduct fieldwork in a variety of environments and topography, including uneven terrain.
