Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing prescribed CT imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures and equipment.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or certification from a technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography Certification and Registration (R) or ARRT– Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N) or ARRT– Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Computed Tomography (CT) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.
  • CPR – American Heart Association, Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working as a CT Technologist.
