Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum program and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Conduct assessments of student learning styles and use results to inform instructional strategies.
- Work collaboratively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students.
- Use technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
- Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities and sponsor outside events approved by the campus principal.
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
- ESL Certification required within six months of employment for elementary and secondary core teachers.
The Health Teacher will work in a fast-paced educational environment, with frequent interruptions and the need to maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional districtwide and statewide travel may be required.
