Music Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Job Summary:The Music Therapist will be responsible for providing individualized and culturally humble services to families, using music as a tool for development and growth. You will work closely with parents/caregivers to ensure that services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each family.
Responsibilities:- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to identify client developmental status.
- Provide direct music activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
- Complete progress notes, reports, and assessments as required.
- Provide individual and group music intervention for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk for delays.
- Assess family and child strengths, resources, concerns, and progress.
- Act as service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
- Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development.
- Board certification as a Registered Music Therapist.
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
- Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
