Music Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to identify the developmental needs of children and their families.
- Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans to promote cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development in children from birth to three years old.
- Collaborate with families to ensure that music therapy services are tailored to their unique needs and priorities.
- Provide supportive professional assistance to families, including facilitating parent-child interactions and encouraging family involvement in their child's development.
- Act as a service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating music therapy plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Board certification as a Registered Music Therapist.
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
