Job Title: Firefighter/Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at the City of Waukesha, WI. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and participating in fire prevention and education activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
  • Participate in fire prevention and education activities
  • Operate and maintain fire department vehicles and equipment
  • Perform daily training exercises and classroom lectures
  • Conduct fire inspections and pre-emergency plans
  • Provide public education and outreach on fire safety and emergency medical services
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • State of Wisconsin Firefighter I Certification
  • State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) License
  • Ability to pass a Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
