Position Summary:
The Medical Secretary collaborates with medical, clerical, and clinical personnel to facilitate the operations of the medical staff, ensuring prompt and effective patient care. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, preparing medical charts, managing correspondence, and handling authorization tasks. The Medical Secretary is expected to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency while providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Education Required:
- Completion of in-house orientation program
- High School Diploma
Experience and Skills:
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Typing speed of 55-65 words per minute
- Shorthand skills may be necessary; proficiency in MS Office is required
