Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Skilled Nursing Care Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with tracheostomy and ventilator needs, utilizing your expertise in infection control, patient education, and nursing care planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Implement and update care plans, ensuring seamless coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to educate on disease management, self-care, and prevention strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain expertise in tracheostomy and ventilator care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
