Centerline Logistics Corporation seeks an experienced Senior Marine Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. Job Responsibilities
  • Marine Operations Management
    • Safely and efficiently manage the operation of our fleet, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
    • Develop and implement effective cost control programs to optimize vessel performance and minimize operational expenses.
    • Mentor and develop marine personnel, promoting career growth and enhancing the overall quality of our crew.
  • Captain and Crew Supervision
    • Directly supervise captains, mates, and deck crews, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless vessel operations.
    • Ensure that all vessels and crews comply with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Incident Investigation and Safety Management
    • Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Manage and maintain our company's safety program, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Stay up-to-date on changing regulatory requirements, ensuring that our operations remain compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are maintained and up-to-date.
  • Communications and Reporting
    • Develop and disseminate clear, concise reports to senior management, detailing key performance indicators, safety metrics, and other relevant data.
    • Maintain open and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including office staff, vessel crews, and external partners.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in maritime or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as a master on tugboats, tankers, or oil barges (or equivalent military experience)
  • Valid USCG Master's license on offshore towboats 200T Minimum/Master of Towing Endorsement required
  • ATB Operational experience strongly preferred; 500T Minimum Master of Towing also preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of the tugboat and oil transportation industry
  • Familiarity with tank barge, ship, and terminal/refinery operations
  • Knowledge of tug and barge maintenance systems and equipment
  • HAZWOPER and Incident Command System training completed within 6 months of hiring
  • STCW Certification and valid State Drivers license required
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to various ports and locations as needed
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
