The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Francis Marion University is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. As a dedicated teacher-scholar, you will be committed to outstanding teaching, excellent scholarship, and the achievement of underrepresented student groups in physics and engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 3 to 4 undergraduate courses and labs per semester, primarily in introductory and upper-level engineering, with the possibility of teaching introductory physics laboratory instruction.
  • Conduct impactful research, especially involving undergraduate students.
  • Engage in discipline-related service to the community, department, and/or university.
Qualifications

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
