Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations related to public safety and property protection.
  • Conduct criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and crime prevention activities.
  • Provide law enforcement protection and services to the community, including responding to emergency calls and incidents.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve public safety goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the community, including providing education and outreach on public safety issues.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
  • Completion of the Minimum Standards courses as set forth by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
  • Eligibility to obtain Florida Law Enforcement Certification.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and maintenance of a clean driving record.
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively, and to determine proper course of action to be taken.
  • Ability to cope with situations firmly, courteously, and tactfully, and with respect for the rights of others.
