Job Summary

Adena Corporation is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for examining detailed drawings and specifications to determine job requirements, cutting, rolling, shaping, bending, molding, spinning, heating, or hammering metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies. You will also set up and operate hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment, assemble parts and structures by lining them up and joining them by welding or bolting, and perform routine inspections on assigned equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine detailed drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Cut, roll, shape, bend, mold, spin, heat, or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
  • Set up and operate hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment
  • Assemble parts and structures by lining them up and joining them by welding or bolting
  • Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment

Requirements:
  • Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of the role
  • Physically capable of handling heavy materials, tools, and machines
  • Must obtain necessary training and certification prior to operating any equipment
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license or transportation to and from work
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with little direction when applicable
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Must have a good work ethic and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to pass a weld test
