We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist III to join our team in the Blood Bank Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex donor and patient testing procedures, interpreting results, and providing expert consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform automated and manual test procedures on blood samples, adhering to strict standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support, development, and leadership guidance to all volunteers.
- Manage receipt, coordination, shipment, and transport of patient and donor blood samples, including ordering, receiving, inspecting, and preparing reagents associated with donor product inventory.
- Perform and interpret independent basic and complex donor and/or patient testing procedures, completing required quality control and resolving testing irregularities.
- Assume lead responsibilities for maintaining, editing, and reviewing computer and manual records, ensuring accurate record keeping and performing maintenance, repair, and validation of laboratory equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry, MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) certification preferred, or MLT(ASCP) certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in blood banking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
