Role Overview:
Elementary Teachers at DECA PREP act as advocates and mentors for students' educational journeys, tailored to individual needs and strengths. Teachers develop a deep understanding of their students, assist in setting and achieving learning objectives, and strive to create enriching educational experiences within their advisory groups. Teachers report directly to the Campus Principal.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid teaching license/certificate for the relevant grade and/or subject;

- Assess and support the holistic development of each learner;
- Design individualized learning strategies;
- Continuously evaluate student progress and adjust plans accordingly;
- Mediate student conflicts effectively;
- Collaborate with the school team on academic and behavioral intervention strategies;
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal;
- Commit to ongoing professional development.
Employment Terms:
- 190 days of service;
- Salary determined based on experience and educational qualifications;
- All staff members receive one-year contracts.
Work Environment:
- Work locations include schools, activity centers, and outdoor play areas;
- Field sites for retreats and other activities;
- Other environments as deemed necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear;
- Occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Additional Working Conditions:
