Job Summary

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician/ARRT to join our team. As a Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, positioning patients for correct anatomy/pathology, operating radiation producing equipment, and preparing patient rooms/equipment/medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician.
  • Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
  • Operate radiation producing equipment and electronic Radiology systems.
  • Prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications.
  • Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Requirements

  • AART Certification REQUIRED.
  • Licensed Rad Tech REQUIRED for staff employed in Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI REQUIRED.
  • TS - Trade School Graduate- Radiologic Technology REQUIRED.
