Job Title: ESOL InstructorThe ESOL Instructor is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to adult learners. This role requires a passion for education, a commitment to student-centered learning, and the ability to adapt to diverse teaching environments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Design and deliver engaging ESOL and vocational ESOL curricula, incorporating digital literacy and work readiness skills.
- Teach students with varying levels of English proficiency, using effective instructional strategies and technology integration.
- Collaborate with case managers and employment specialists to ensure a holistic approach to student success.
- Administer exams and maintain accurate student records, tracking progress and retention.
- Provide job search assistance, resume and cover letter writing support, and other services to help students achieve their career goals.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and special projects, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum two years of teaching/training experience working with adult learners.
- TESOL or comparable certification preferred; lived and work experience considered as an alternative.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with ability to learn new technology and software.
This role requires occasional travel to other locations for offsite meetings and events. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
